Pick-your-own is a very low-labour method of growing strawberries as you don’t need staff to harvest the fruits. PYO farms are popular destinations for families and the strawberries are often made into jam or juice. The most important criterion is flavour, although pickability should also be borne in mind as picking the strawberries should be fun.
