Normal cultivation
In a classic strawberry crop, frigo plants are planted in May or June. In the first year the runners must be cut through and it is also recommended to pinch out the first flowers. The plants then go into the winter without fruiting and the first harvest will be in the second year. Depending on the variety and the desired fruit quality, you can then achieve 2-3 harvests in subsequent years.
The following varieties are suitable for use in standard cultivation:
Magnum | Daroyal | Honeoye |
Darselect | Lambada | Kimberly |
