Double covering

Available strawberry varieties with picking period and performance

The season for outdoor strawberries can be brought forward by covering the plants with fleece and plastic. This is usually done in February. As soon as flowers are formed and the temperature under the covers rises to above 25°C, the plastic is removed to prevent later fruit damage.
